Ensuring the precise reporting of Clery crime statistics and keeping the campus community informed about ongoing threats depends largely on Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) fulfilling their responsibilities. CSAs are individuals designated based on their roles at an institution, and they have an obligation to report any Clery crimes occurring within Clery geography that are reported to them. Although the Clery Act doesn't specify training requirements for CSAs, it is essential that they understand their role, what they are required to report, and how to report it, and this is most effectively achieved through training. This webinar will review the requirements for CSAs, who may be CSAs at your institution, and best practices for  training these individuals.

In our 2024 webinar series, we will examine several requirements of the Clery Act and delve into best practices for effectively addressing these areas. Institutions of higher education are responsible for adhering to the Clery Act, which aims to enhance campus safety and increase transparency regarding campus crime statistics.

While the Clery Act's statutes and regulations outline the necessary actions for campus administrators, they may not always offer specific guidance on implementation. Join us as we dive deeper into policy and provide you with strategies for putting these requirements into practice.
