Letter from the Executive Director: Leadership TransitionDear friends, colleagues, and supporters, It is with mixed emotions that I share that I will be stepping down as Executive Director of Clery Center to pursue a new opportunity with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. My time at Clery Center has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and while I am excited for what lies ahead, leaving this incredible organization and community is bittersweet. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you – our staff, board, donors, partners, members, and supporters. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from so many of you. I’ve witnessed the true power of resilience as families navigate unimaginable grief while advocating for meaningful change. I’ve learned what it means to be a courageous leader, watching peers and those on the front lines at campuses prioritize safety for all, even when the path forward is uncertain. And I’ve come to understand the importance of true collaboration, seeing how each accomplishment was achieved by building relationships with and among allies in this work. Through partnership, shared vision, and unwavering commitment, we’ve been able to move the needle on campus safety. I am immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished – from expanding our membership program to helping pass the Stop Campus Hazing Act, to launching new initiatives and resources that will continue to support campuses for years to come. The team at Clery Center is deeply talented and dedicated, and I have full confidence that the leadership in place will continue to drive the organization’s success. I’m excited to see the continued impact Clery Center will have, and I encourage you to keep supporting its vital work. Thank you again for the opportunity to lead and serve this amazing organization. As I move forward in my personal and professional journey, Jeanne Clery and all the survivors who have shared their stories with me will remain a guiding force. Warmly, Read the announcement from Clery Center’s Board of Directors here. |
